----------------------------------- SuperGenius Tue Mar 07, 2006 4:43 pm Dissapearing router ----------------------------------- I've got a wire'ess router/ hub, and everything was fine until dad tried to set up a vpn. Now when I type 192.168.1.1 to log in to the router nothing happens for a second, and then a window comes up to connect to the vpn instead of the router. any ideas? The local Ips for the computers are 192.168.1.106 and 192.168.105, which is what they were before this crap. You could try accessing your router the roundabout way by checking your external IP with a local whois tool or a whatismyIP website. ----------------------------------- SuperGenius Wed Mar 08, 2006 4:28 pm ----------------------------------- see if you can ping your default gateway. can u access the firmware when it's plugged in? do you mean if the comp is wired to the router? that doesnt work either. pinging default gateway, the other computer and this one all result in timeout.
