I kinda like the look of the flower. Seems like it's made of metal, so I'd try tweaking it's material to be a bit more shiny, and perhaps reflective.

When'd ya start using Blender??

Seems like
I think that a non-metalic flower would be less shiny/reflective. In fact, the light should be much more diffused.

But then it would look less like it were made of metal, which isn't what I was suggesting. But that's the way I looked at it, Electro mandate's idea is what counts.

grr..

its even in my signature...

i started using blender about month ago

imt rying to make the flower more realistic...i added some fading between light pink and a beige for the petals...

i forgot to add some tangent shading on the thorns though.....

i need to work a bit more on the glass ....

the wood is a bitmap i got of the internet

i couldnt manage to get a god effect with blender that suited my needs :(
