Try to evaluate 5 / 0. x = 5 / 0 x*0 = 5 (multiply both sides by 0) There is no number x that, when multiplied by 0, gives you 5. Follow the same procedure for 0 / 0. x = 0 / 0 x * 0 = 0 ANY value of x satisfies this equation. If 0 / 0 is undefined, it's because it has an infinite number of solutions.
