Baiclky the idea is a system that is total control by the users. It is up to the users to add content, update content or add/edit anything they whont. There is alot of poteantal for abouse in such a system but i thought i might as well give it a chance and see what the users of this could do. Kudos to Dan! Now we have something nice and concrete to point beginners to when they ask the same question for the fiftieth time. :) Did you also outfit it with LaTeX? WikiMedia wiki's have LaTeX support built in, of course, but the software needs to be installed on the server as well. But can't people delete other peoples work? Technically yes, but Wiki's keep track of page history, so restoring the previous version would only be a mouse click away. And of course, the offender would be banned. Anyhow, is there a way to tell who wrote what? Yes. An excellent idea, but there are some issues. Should tutorials be maintained on both the forum and the wiki, or the wiki exclusively? How would the formatting work? Would we have to manually edit the text to fit the format style of wikipedia? Probably, since there are a lot of differences. This means that this will probably be a big project, and that we should focus first on transposing the main tutorials. Also, a naming scheme needs to be planned. I suppose _ would work. ex.
