Hi you guys probably don't know me unless you are a mod or I've talked to you through msn. I'm the new site designer and I'm also here to replace Aaron and Tony (yes I'm replacing you Tony) why is that? cuz I own dan! ahahahaha yes I own dan he is my bitch! Take that Tony! and yes he'll probably gonna delete this... But guess what tony I'll just repost this again and again!!!! ahahahahaha!!!! Anyway back to V3, what do you guys think of Bring neon pink and yellow text?! I'll take you're suggestion seriously if I feel like it... thanks now~ BTW THE MASCOT IS SOOO GONNA BE NUDE MARTIN!!! wow you guys actually took me seriously? Dude this is all a prank to scare Martin!!! (Martin did it work?) I'm only responisble for the Logo and mascot and maybe the splash page (I really don't know if I have time yet) So no V3 is not gonna be bright pink nor have Yellow text relieve now? Hah, apperantly I was banned by this girl. When Dan was afk, she snuck into his room and "piz0wnt" his box (and in the process, my account). Something is very wrong with this girl. She breaks into his room, and hijacks his computer with the sole intention of banning me on CompSci? I love knowing that I can inspire so much hate in a person with a three sentence post. I'm assuming you've watched friends at some point in your life at a regular basis, just because you're of the female gender. Do you know how that one guy, uh, Chantler? Yeah, I think that's the one. Anyways, he's always making sarcastic and offensive jokes at other people as a "deffence mechanism"? I'll never tell anyone to "suck my balls!" or "EAT SHIT YOU AS5HOLE!". Naw, I'm more articulate than that. When I tell people off, it's pretty much for fun. I like pissing people off. I like starting flame wars on the internet, just to win, and see everyone type "LOL!" repeatedly. You see, I get off on the idea that I'm intellectually superior than most people I'll ever meet in my life time. I also get off on the idea that I can so easily control others people's emotions, and that they willingly sucumb to my verbal dominance. Arguing on the internet is an exercise in patience. I'm a very patient person. I might not even point out all the flaws in a comment during an argument, just to let you dig your hole in a little deeper. I like making fun of other people and poiting out every single one of their flaws in order to make them seem that much more inferior. It may seem harsh, and probably even border-line perverted, but It's all in good fun. I've yet to see anyone actually stand-up against me on this site at a flame-war. Debates? I think Dan got me once, and that was because I was arguing for the sake of arguing, not because I was strong in my opinion. Every time someone leaks their emotions into a post, it just spurs me to keep on flamin'. When you speak with me online, never take anything I say at face-value. No single insult I ever say on-line is ever direct, no matter how much the case may seem. Everything that I've said in this thread so far has been jokes. I honestly laugh every time you put your fists up and go all defensive. I can't believe how anyone could take any insult I say in this forum seriously. I've never even met any of you, so you could just logically assume that anything I say about you is pointless. Yet no one seems to grasp that concept. After this little argument is all said-and-over. I will hate you just as much as I hated you before you made an account on this forum. Can you guess how much that is?

The apperment door is ushely locked and i now only have 1 roommates affter some intresting events that got ride of the other 2. And the only poleop that just walk in are the girls from next door. Just that i have alot of auto log in things and part of the mian page has atuo logings to import parts of the site when viewing in admin mode. Oh well, there are back ups of the site DB and files so at worst case i whould just have to restore them.

When u close the laptop lid it locks down and when u trun it off it takes several passwords and secity checks to get it back online. Maybe i should just unlock this topic now since, the subject no longer has anything to do with the reason it was locked and from the looks of it, i am never going to get it to stop any how. Any how about V3, i have started working on it agan. Just spent all night rewrting the aplaha verson of it to complie with the new verson of php and to stop some secuity holes. Tho hopfully it will be harder to expolite b/c we will have made all the code in it. At this rate i may have a beat verson done by the end of xmass, but who knows what could hapen and what bugs i could run in to. Also with the increase in hackings it is making it hard to do any work on v3. Any how unlocked!

Fine, we'll make the last post about Card Captors. Did anyone watch the ending when they had it on WB? I think I missed some of it because it didn't make sense. She meets the new kid after catching the last card, and it turns out that the kid was Clow Read (sp?)... but, wasn't Clow actually her dad? And what did her big brother have to do with anything? He had powers too. Oh well. Did you know: in Japan there are actually many versions of Card Captors (they actually call it Card Captor Sakura), and one version at least is, from what I hear, quite... weird. Either way, the intro was pretty cool.

You guys want to know something wierd? I had an idea about v3. And I'm going to post it. In the suggestions for v3 forum! So anyways, I recall something about users ranking submissions based on their goodness. I hope that doesn't extend to tutorials, because that doesn't make sense. What does make sense, however, is to have a predefined order for the tutorials so that anyone who wants to learn the language can just sift through the topic titles to find how far along they are, and then follow the order of tutorials. Of course, that would be just one way of viewing the tutorials. The other way would be normal, topics with new posts at the top. When a new tutorial is posted, it could go into a new/unsorted section (this section only exists when viewing it in that predefined order) until a mod puts it in order. In closing, yay v3.

Reealy i work for a orgatsation that is part of UW, but UW signs my paychecks. I work for the CWN (canadian water network) doing progaming for there web page. basiclky they whont a content system very much like v3 but for resarchers and scitientes acroces canadain to comuincate and beable to do alot of stuff online. If u are whondering the CWN is in the IQC (instute for quemtome computing) buliding witch is the one srounted by all thos RIM buidings just off campus.

That is all ready how the system works. the only difrence is that a mod and a supervisor are the same thing. Admins have power over everything, super mods have power over all forums for editing, deleteing, ect and have some limited other powers like chaing form names, ranks and banning some users. Mods powers chage deepding on there set up, ushely they have power over a slected number of forums and can edit, lock and delete topics.

Heh, well, of the two forums I go to fairly often, the other has one with: Replies: 6,143 - but that was a spam topic... Replies: 3,622 - is a real topic on topic Some 'forum games' that get pretty far are: Which One do you Prefer?, Last Letter Word, and Word Association. I don't know who makes these things up... Anyways, Notoroge, if they counted off topic posts then everyone would just spam to get a higher bits/post count and the problem would just start again. Maybe that's exagerating, but I've seen that happen everywhere that's been done. EDIT then again, looking over here, this could be counted as the spam topic lol

methinks post counting in the "Off Topic" (ei. spam) section would be bad... Right now post counts are an indication of how active you are in asking questions and answering them; not how often you make a poll about who can pass wind the loudest (don't get any ideas...). Although it would be nice to get all 450 of my posts counted instead of the 270 that are right now... perhaps I shall post more... maybe once I get my project farther along. Although I think wtd is going to crusify me for coding as I do

Yep, I think that only posts related to 'compsci' should be counted towards post count. After all, this forum is about that, and we want to encourage more participation in those sections. Any submission would be nice, coding is secondary (just joking.... ). EDIT yes, I'm the first to say so. What a crazy new avatar you have there Cornflake!
