This is a Tank War game I made over the course of this year (Grade 11) The basic idea (and tank graphics) were taken (or stolen) from http://www.tankwarsonline.com... so theres my citation ---- not sure if its copyright, since i converted them to drawdot values in tanks.dan The controls are really confusing, because I was experimenting with keys... so here are the basics Player 1: Arrow Keys Enter to shoot (or select menu) Backspace to drop mines Player 2: WADS keys Shift to shoot and select menu Ctrl to drop mines As of now, 1P vs 2P is the best choice... but you can try 1P vs Computer, all it is is the 2nd Player spinning around and shooting you whenever the angle is right In the menu, after both players press End, use mouse to choose map Its not exactly my final project... I'm working on my final project right now, its a real-time scorched earth kind of game (with movement on the map) on sidenote: it uses whatdotcolour (be canadian, it works in turing) |

it's a good start, but controls need to be improved a bit... right now the movement is too slow and there seems to be a problem with moving and shooting at same time. I also feel that cooldown time is too long. it's a good start though +25Bits |

Each tank has a different speed, tank 2 is the fastest and the tank with the big cannon is the slowest... plus, tanks are just plain slow anyways tony wrote: and there seems to be a problem with moving and shooting at same time. I also feel that cooldown time is too long.
I disabled moving forward and shooting at the same time to avoid a few cheap moves while my friend and I were testing the game, the delay also changes between tanks, the tank with double guns should be firing the fastest -- also I forgot to mention, you are able to push each other tanks like a Sumo battle, to add strategy and the spike tank does dmg when you run into stuff Edit I think this game is laggier for some computers ... I'm not sure why, its a pretty long script it shouldn't be TOO slow If you want the code to look at it, PM me |

I realy like the look of this game and the consepted is great. But there are still a few bugs, i tryed the 1 player vs comp mod and the comp just keeped on sping around on the spawn point for a heath thing and was basicly invicable, lol. The ai could use some tweaking, may be make it move around and try to find the player? Also the menuns are hard to navagate b/c the cursore (start thing) moves so fast when u just clikc onec. May be you should make it so it moves once and stops till the key is back up. But i think it is much petalchale so i will give you some bits too |

I never finished AI simply because I didn't have enough time... I made this program in class, so after a project was assigned, i had to stop working on this one Now I look back at what i scripted and I just get confused myself.. haha |
