This is a demo that me and Retard32 are working on for a component of our physics final project ... it took us a while for the rotation, and its also shows our 3D engine. Please respond about how fast or slow it runs on you comp.

note : just changed the download to the pretty much done version

it runs pretty slow on my computer, I apply a little force on the ball, and it takes a minute for it to slowly hit the wall and bounce back a bit. But then again, I have a slow computer. nice sound though, but seriously, its taking forever and the ball speed is never higher than a crawl. it takes forever for the ball to stop, nice 3D effect though.

What are the Specs on your comp, cause i'm only running a 1.6 Ghz and its not slow. Just wondering Smile cause we have to use this at school.

works absolutely fine on my computer Smile nice job
but one thing.... the balls... don't they only have the number on one side of the ball? or is that just because I don't play pool enough :S

Well we haven't got effeint texture mapping on our 3D engine yet, so that the reason why its not numbered, also u may have noticed that the collision is sometimes off after you run the program for awhile, we've noticed and fixed it Laughing

900MHz Athalon
~1 GB RAM

Runs really smoothly. Perhaps add an FPS count? Would be useful for diag reasons.

yea... u submited the source to ur 3d engine.. nice... i cant posibly run this.,., im on a pent 1...

for some nice colision... zylum who made his evasive manuvers with some colision code from someone else's pool game.. and that was wicked colision.. ask zylum... im not in the mood to go searching ... Sad

Looks good

runs fairly smooth on my comp

but ur never gonna get decent framerate on a full table of pool
ball if u make them all triangles, id recommend using
some sort of particle system to draw the balls and draw the table with triangles

have 30 bits
