I am currently looking for a web host. I was just wondering where those of you who have web pages are hosting them. I am looking to pay 100-200 a year. I'm looking for a Linux / Unix based server with as many features as possible.

PHP
MySQL
Python
JSP
...the more the better.

Thanks

CompSci.ca's host is Kazix. you can find there site at www.kazix.com.

they are ok, they are up most of the time and got all the stuff u need like cpanel. there deals are not bad too if your site is going to be using up alot of banwitdth.

Actually I find their badwidth a bit low compared to the other places I've been looking. I'm not planning on using a pile of badwidth, probably very little to start. What they do offer is more disk space then most.

The one I'm most likely to go with right now is http://www.lunarpages.com/plan.htm (the shuttle plan). If you pay by the month its 9.99 a month and if you sign up for 6 months its 8.99. The reason is they offer more features such as JSP and ASP which give me more to play with. The only things I don't really like are that you only get one FTP account and 1 MySQL DB with the basic plan, as well as the fact that you have to pay a $30 setup fee unless you sign up for a year. I'm going to work on that one. But as I mostly just want to play and learn the fact that there are not many FTP accounts of DBs is not a big deal right now.

How much bandwith and disk space does this site take up?

easyhosting.com (I think it's part of look.ca)
brinkster.com
godaddy.com

Oh the possibilities.
I'm pretty sure GoDaddy offers hosting, maybe only domains.

Are these sites that you have used, or is this just a list you made?
Finding hosting companies is easy, i have abotu 10 bookmarked, I want to find people who have used one so I can have their opinion on them.
