are you sure? isn't is part of all schools. one would think that all schools would have it, they just wouldn't have good teachers for it. my school has it, but im not sure how good the teachers are. |

Schools across ontario offer different programs. Schools across ontario lack different programs as well. This, however, is the first I've heard of not having compsci. |

No grade 11 or 12 compsci? Now isn't that just a little bit too retarded? I mean, no grade 10 is understandable, we never did anything remotely useful in that class (by the time the "teacher" showed us something in turing, I had already learned it elsewhere). Is it possible that the courses are just listed differently? I know at my school grade 10 compsci is TIK (technology and information sciences or something stupid like that), and grade 11 and 12 are ICS. |

man my school has always had the grade 11 and 12 classes even when there's only like one or two people in them (happens sometimes for grade 12) ... it's probably just because of how he runs it though... he doesn't actually teach all the time (a bit in grade 10, and like a couple 5 or 10 minute talks in 11 and 12), he just has a set of tutorials he wrote that we do at our own pace. it's kinda funny though, because the grade 10 class is always pretty much full because people don't know what they're getting into. but still that's gotta suck not having it in grade 11 and 12... that'll probably discourage some people from continuing with it. |

EEEWW, corel draw, in grade 10 it was part Flash or something I think, are you sure there isnt a ICS 3MI or something like that? it should be in the technology section, it doesn't have prerequisites. |

our school has it, but our teacher seems like he doesn't know very much because "he gets mixed upw ith all the other languages he knows". Thats just what appears to me, but hes managed to help me with any problems I have had, the one I'm going to hit him with today is going to be a mind boggler. |

dude.... the course codes across all of Ontario are the same??? twsted.... i taking gr.11 comp sci next year and code is ics something.... crazy stuff ... in BC every school is different.. (but they are legible) ICS3O is messed it be CMPS11 for BC or something... mind you i dont thin, they had it in my school in Kamloops... anyways... here in the soo...gr.11 comp sci is mostly java and crap.;.. it sucks.,.. i wanted to learn more turing... o well... the teacher promisied me we would do a little... anyways.... i wonder wut the poll results would be in we had MS Word VS Word Perfect... or Corel > photo shop or something.... GOD I HATE COREL AND WORD PERFECT>>>! ! ! ! ! ! ! |

All of ontarios course codes are the same, because the PROVINCE controls education. So each province has the same course codes within it, not necessarily the same as another provinces'... but yea |
