Well done , played around with some values , but it wasnt as cool , was this randomly made or did you know the effect you wanted to make for a rocking program |

We had to make a thing in class so that it would not go off the screen and I did a line and it looked ok and then I put in a time thing to see how long it was running and got the current motion, so I took out the time thing and VOLIA, the finished project... |

Since the start of semester 2( about 3 weeks ago) I have been new to Turing, I made teh program after the first week of programming, I think I know a lot because I did some simple stuff in QBasic... |

Post subject: | |
QBASIc is cool... i used it a bit on comp... mostly tho i used it on ... The Radio Shack... TRS-80 Color Computer 2 (big keyboard u hook up to TV) soo old.... u hooked up a tape recorder to save programs... hahah i used to make cool stuff in there.... 10 print "hey there" 20 cls 4 ahhahahahah hilarious well ferret.... u should go into business of Screensavers... cuz this lookz like a good one.. |

i just got the keyboard deal... i wasn;t tough anything... that keyboard is older then me.,... i had it when i was 4 (oldest sis used it) i had some program bookz.... but i didin;t know all the commands.... so i got qbasic for comp.... but then i lost interest..(started SC) in gr.7 so yea..... dodge have u tried qBasic... ????' PS: make a .scr cuz this thing is good..... can you make it leave a trail of black to acually fill up screen....??? |
Author: | TheFerret [ Mon Feb 23, 2004 3:51 pm ] |
Post subject: | |
I don't know how to make a .scr and I would like to have a black background but, I use drawfill box and that does not work... P.S. What do you mean by trail of black... |

here try my mock of your program... does not do exact same as yours.... i had to think up code... maybe i could help u make scr... this is wut i mean by leave a black trail... to acually act like a scr... Download BOTH into same folder.. |

Post subject: | 3-D Graphics |
If anyone's interested in real 3-D try tilting a line (or a graphic) towards you and then away from you, at specific angles. It is pretty cool program you made, although its just an illusion of 3-D graphics. |

ok... www.irfanview.com download this FREE picture viewer ETC... dont select all extensions on setup... ( it can open almost EVERY KIND OF FILE) but.,., it mite take over you computer.. (ei... it can listen to Mp3's .wav, movies of all types, and all picctures./... so... yea... then all files on your computer will be opened with irfanview.... ... anyways ... this program ROCKS>.. ok... after you get the backround color going... leaving a TRAIL.... go to Options Menu, and click capture, make it do it every like 1 seconds or something... run your program.... then collect all the screenshots it saved... then put them all in a new folder by themselfs select the slideslow button or go File / slideshow.... click ADD ALL in the folder taht had all the picture.. and then u will see a butten to creat a .scr or .exe... PS: for this to work good... u gota Close all other programs... and have a REALY fast computer.... my computer sucsk... so it is jerky.. press ESC to exit screen saver... Here i made an example one... EERRRR cant upload at the moment... will try again tomorow |

Here i made an example one... EERRRR cant upload at the moment... will try again tomorow Yes, IrfanView really is great. But that's a new level of inefficient overkill. Make a turing program as if it really were a screensaver (ie, pressing F1, it would run exactly as it would if it were automatically ran when the screensaver starts). Make sure you have some code that exits your loop when the mouse is moved or a button on the keyboard is pressed. Now, compile. Set up the options however you want, I don't care. But when you go to save the exe... don't. You don't want an executable in this situation, save it as *.scr ('*' being, whatever you wanna call it). I haven't tried this recently so I'm not sure it'll work with the latest version of turing. But I do know for sure that it worked with 3.1 which is a plus because you can actually make it fullscreen. |

Is there an easier way to check to see if a key has been pressed, I have this but not very efficent...
How would you check for the abnormal keys such as Windows key, ALt, Ctrl, etc... |

^ makes no sense.. anyways... here i kinda moded ur program a bit.. http://www.compsci.ca/v2/download.php?id=1419 guess what... turing can make .scr... easy.. go to compile... then instead of typing 3d.exe type in 3d.scr and thats IT! cant go fullscren... but hey.... anyways.. maybe find a way of savign a screenshot so it apears to erase desktop... then also... loop exit when hasch end loop so it exits program... |
