Post subject:  Minimum Competitive GPA for Admission into UBC BCS Program (Second Degree)

I am currently applying for the UBC BCS (Bachelors of Computer Science) program as my second degree. In terms of GPA, I know from their website that they put consideration on the GPA of the last 60 credits attempted and also on the overall GPA of all University courses ever attempted.

In my case, I graduated from UBC in 2011 with a 77ish GPA (both in terms of the last 60 credits and of the overall GPA). I know that UBC also considers my work experience, which, in my case, is quite solid I think, so I am not too worried about that. My only concern is my 77ish GPA, which I know is average for a university graduate.

For a highly-selective school like UBC, I suspect that the people who apply for the BCS program would be mostly people with very high GPA for their first degree. If that is the case, I am worried that I may not stand a chance. If anyone of you here who have been accepted or graduated from the UBC BCS program, your advice on my concern would be much appreciated!
