Ummm if you were to know about contests , you would know that you can write it in any language 9( literally thats able to prodce that output ) , also if you were really cool you could use your own compiler , about 4 teams use pascal at my board contest , pascal is used in lots of comps and is known throught the school boards , so what your talkin about im not sur , i guess you have never written a contest before so i wont intensly flame you |

never heard of it... the only time I've heard "pascal" and "contest" used together was the "grade 9 pascal math contest" |

I've heard a little of Pascal, and a little more about Delphi which I think is like it but is like Vb is to Basic. I dunno. |

hahaha Pascal is a math contest held by U of Waterloo at a grade 9 level 8) It's gr8 - Gauss gr9 - Pascal gr10 - Cayley gr11 - Fermat Pascal should be some time in Febuary, dont know exact date. |

so does cayley, I came in the top 25% in pascal, which is worse than my gauss mark. But we64 got higher than me in pascal, like by more than 20 points. |

is pascal easier than turing or very similar to turing's easiness? |

I've got top25% for Gauss, Pascal, Cayley, Fermat. Also best in school for Cayley and Fermat. hopping for another medal from Euclid, though it looks like it wil be hard |

wait, Euclid medal is determined by your score compared to your peers in your school right? Cuz if it's that, I probably will have no chance whatsoever for that medal. (either Bugz or Crono will be owning that thing) For the Pascal, Cayley, Fermat contests, the 25% mark isn't all that hard to get. I think for like last year or something, if you got at least 100, then it was top 25% |

well last year it was like this in our school: people took the contest wheather they're good or not good at math, just for the credit of taking it. Which made going to the top of the school list really ez, but dropped our usual good school rankings by alot. |

Oh people. I was talking about the programming language Pascal not the school contest. +drm/509 RCSS student [Kitchener] |

yeah, so was I in my question. i was wondering, cause if so many people new pascal and were good at it, why is there not a board for it. |

is pascal more difficult than turing, is it a language that would be worth learning |
Author: | Paul [ Sat Jan 31, 2004 11:28 pm ] |
Post subject: | |
Any language is worth learning, if it is useful, are you saying turing isn't worth learning |

ahhh, i didn't mean to say that. i don't think i really meant anything by that, sorry disregard all that stuff i said cause i wasn't really paying attention. sorry |
