Strange... I see no mention of a whatdotcolour update. I wonder what dodge will have to say about this. And what are you talking about needing this update for binary file writing? Is that the bug you've found because I've experienced no problems with binary file writing with turing in the past.

Well, I remember about a year ago hearing about them implementing .gif file support once the license on that ran out. Speaking of which, I forgot, has the license on the gif format run out?

i think it was still 5 years that year ago... so umm... expect .gif support after 2008 Laughing

well if htey dont put hte update on their site then im not sure what to do , is it legal for me to post the updated version? or will that be wrong , the binary writing problem was with the " tell" command , im not sure what but you can read about that bug on the holt soft website , my teacher has sent an email to tom , so i hope that they get the update up soon

Author:  shorthair [ Fri Jan 09, 2004 6:34 pm ]
Post subject:

ive learned that on their website its been posted as turing 4.0.4[d} .... it shows up as turing 5 on our school computers ( im not sure if there is a difference ) the bug that needed to be fixed for our project , shows up as fixed under that 4.0.4[d] section so i guess that is what it is....but ther is one problem when you click on the link to 4.0.4{d} it just reloads the page onto the 4.0.4{c} link , so i dont know what going on there , but take a lok at all the bugs they fixed

Post subject:

Yeah, I used to keep searching the holtsoft website for a patch that would make it more efficient but it seems that it doesn't exist so I decided to make my own version of turing. It'll be called WOT (Whatdotcolour Oriented Turing)

Post subject:

WTF???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

i came up with that idea!!!!!!!!! creating a language based on whatdotcolor

Actually, dodge, you didn't. You and I both know who came up with that idea, just as you and I both know my true identity. Twisted Evil

We'll thats kinda useless isn't it?
Who would actually pay for Turing other then a school board, and even that is a little stupid.

Post subject:

SO what are you sugesting maverick , its illegal t oget turing anywhere else other than holt soft , i have to make that disclamer, i dont promote theft of software , i paid for my copy of turing fair and square

Post subject:

you dont even need a previous version of turing to download and install the new update, and have perfectly good...brand new...turing...for free, from there own website lmao...but yet they expect you to buy it, when they give it for free on their on website Laughing

Author:  shorthair [ Sat Jan 17, 2004 5:57 pm ]
Post subject:

Where do they give it for free?
its exactly that ,and update , alot of the files are still implemented from the older version of turing

My goodness, dodge, it sure took you long enough. Well, it looks like I don't need this account anymore, and mod with the power to do so can go ahead and delete this one if necessary. But I fail to see how I'm "going down".
Shocked

It'll tell you the current version is 4.0.4c, and you have 4.0.5
"You have the latest version installed". Surprised
