(if you didnt destroy your room in residence over the year) This is Probably the best surprise that can come in the mail. I was unsure of when this re-imbursment would come back to me, so you could imagine my surprise when a whole $225 came back. Over the year, i had a few run-ins with my walls, and they came out the worse, however i still managed to receive the majority of my deposit.

Anyone else have student housing stories?

For this year, my residence accumulated over $13 000 in damages this year, but for a rez of 1300 students, it's not too bad ($10 per person). However, the cost wasn't distributed evenly (I only ended paying $6, while people from other floors paid nothing or like over $100).

Yeah, the same type of thing happened at me rez, however we all paid $5 on the last day, this deposit cheque only covered my room specifically, all other damages were payable upon reciept... which i think is bogus.

All year i payed probably over $200 in overnight fees, lockout card fees, and other various fines.. so really, i got ripped off.
