| Post subject: | Making a Music Player? |
Ok well I was trying to make a music player that will play 1 mp3 song for my site. Now I have used the <embed> tag in html, but RealPlayer shows up, and if people dont have RealPlayer than Microsoft's Media Player shows up and it messes up with the design because i have been using RealPlayer work with the design. I have lost all recent work on the site, so I decided to start fresh anyway, is there a way in PHP or any other script that I would make my own like in-browser music player? (i thought of PHP thats y i posted it in here, but if it can be done with anotehr language I would like to hear it) thanks |

well I checked that one out, but I just want a basic one i can shove on a page that has a Play and Stop button maybe with volume control |

try searhcing on the web, google and etc http://www.scriptsearch.com/Java/Applets/Audio_and_Sound/ ( that above site only works on IE for some damm reason ) |

actually forget about this thread, what my idea was to make a music site, maybe like launch.com, like a music news site, but as i am thinking right now, there are tons out there punkmusic.com, launch.com,music.lycos.co.uk(something like that) etc that if i was to start one it would have to be nice and big and I dont think that will happen so Im gonna forget about this, even if i dont want to cause i thought it was a good idea, i think im gonna sit on this idea for a bit |

there are ways of doing that.. and have ur music protected as well.. try researching on Quicktime Streaming Server. You'll find ur answer there. I know i've tested it out.. it does not work too well on wintels though |
