Why do i see the Wii's downfall in this. Laughing
Interesting applications, i liked how the guy used it as a controller.

This is quite cool. I whould not mind geting my hands on one to play with. However i deftaly do not think it is going to replace the wii by making new controllers for PC gaming.

This whould be great to have for any one making robots, it whould also be cool to put in a laptop so you could mesure things that could be dangureses to the laptop like temptuer and exteram acleartion.

Any idea how much thess cost?

$550 USD. If you were in the US, you could order one from their site.

It looks quite interesting... too bad it just runs Java.

Owch, $550 USD seems a bit steep. I could buy a wii mote for $50 (with a wii game thrown in) and just hack it, tho it whould be more work.

Out of curiosity, is this because of dislike for Java or preference for C-based languages? I've used Java for similar applications before...it has its advantages.

It's more the fact that I remember the days of waiting forever for Java applications to run and the ample amounts of RAM the VM required. I still avoid every Java application I possibly can. I also don't like the syntax, though I can't say much now that I do a lot of work with C#.

Either way the device looks pretty neat.

I don't think wii has proximity sensors though.

You can add what ever you whont on to it with the add on port on the wii mote Cool

Tho my point only is that it seems bit costly for home brewed projects.
