If you have an FTP account with compsci.ca, hackerdan.com, dwite.org please contact me on msnm or in the irc ASAP.

There has been a security related issues that needs you attention, and response. This issue could leave your ftp open to attack if you do not respond.

This should not effect the main compsci.ca site, in any noticeable way. The security issue is related to our host and should not effect any normal users in any way.

Staff can read more here.

I saw this on Digg. I didn't get the email though, did you? It must only be to customers who are at risk? I changed my FTP passwords just to be safe, they hadn't been changed in a while anyway.

As rdrake stated i did revice an e-mail at about 6am. I chaged all the passwords for the ftp accounts used by me and tony and run the site right away so no damge was done.

I am posting this becues compsci.ca has alot of ftp users that host small things with us and need to chage there password.

You can read more about this at http://dreamhoststatus.com/ and posibley http://blog.dreamhost.com/ on there next posting.

Remember no normal user accounts where effected and all compsci.ca users information is safe.
