Wow Freakman, that's pretty boring. Wink

I've just been playing with Xgl. It's hot. Things look very nice, but most of the greatest parts you won't be able to see in this screenshot. Most of the awesomeness comes when I'm doing things like moving windows around.

How's it running for you? I had to give up on it because it used so much CPU time. Now I I'm just using xfwm with composite enabled, it works great.

I would post my desktop, but so far it's the same as last month's with a very minor window theme difference.

I've been considering switching to xfwm just for the laptop, so I'll delay posting a screenshot for now.

Cervantes, has Beryl not been bugging the shit out of you? Aside from a minor performance hit, I was really bothered by the animations and the workspace switcher.

My computer actually runs a bit faster, now that I'm using Xgl. This is because it's using the GPU more and the CPU less.

It's very customizable. I can turn off all the annoying animations, and keep only the ones I like. The workspace switcher is totally awesome. You are referring to the cube, right?

Cervantes, why in the name of everything unholy are you using the horrendously ugly Keramik widgets instead of something nicer like Plastik or Lipstik?

Because Kubuntu came with two themes: the one I'm using, and the other one that was really crappy.
