Current desktop. Pretty simple actually. I ditched compiz because it just too too much in the way of resourcesw, and it didn't play well with video or games.

Well here's my desktop for October I also found a Windows/Matrix themed background which is a little funny but not really.

So much task/menu bar space wasted... how awful.

Oh my... that taskbar looks really nice. Sadly, the rest of the theme sucks badly. What a conundrum.

What are some good tools that you guys used to modify XP like that? I use transformation packs, but I have no idea what you need to make those.

Get the UXTheme patcher, then go to deviant art and get some themes.

wtd, why don't you like the rest of the theme?

How exactly do you use the UXTheme patcher?

Author:  Cervantes [ Tue Oct 24, 2006 7:46 pm ]
Post subject:

You just run it. Double click. It does everything automatically. If you're worried that it will screw something up, don't be. I've used it, and you can see how it has allowed me to pretty up my desktop.

Since the great wtd didn't like my last one, here's another attempt! Razz

I like your new theme a lot better than your other one, very nice Cervantes! I think I might try that UXTheme patcher because all I have right now for themes is the Alienware AlienGUIse theme package.

Well another thing you may want to consider getting is the AlienGUIse by Alienware. It's free and it completely changes your desktop. You can dowload it here: http://www.alienware.com/standalone_pages/invader.aspx

Simplicity is obviously not what they had in mind.
