Yes, it is.
Note: Buy Windows Blinds. Believe it or not (un-surprisingly), it uses less resources than the native Windows Theme Manager (ie: Hacked UXTheme.dll).
ObjectBar could use some recoding, but overall it'll leech 20 - 30 MBs tops (depending on theme).

RE-EDIT:StylesXP is a Rip-Off to begin with. All you need to do is download the free "UXTheme.dll" and patch your Windows install. That's all it does. That and uselessly consume resources. Even the fact that you're using the free version shows how much you're 0wnt. WindowBlinds at least really adds some functionality, style, and useful customizability.

I used ObjectDock for a while but got rid of it after it started costing money. There's tons of other docks out there that are free and equally useful.
This is what I use. And if you download that "1,000 PNGs" from that same site and add them to the icon folder, it'll give you HighRes replacement icons for most of your apps, so that they look tasty when they're zooming in the dock, instead of getting fuzzy like the small (32x32?) system icons.

Hah, you make me laugh. Every time you try and flame me, the only phrase that comes to mind is: "Dance Monkey! Dance!" Either way, it's not hard at all to get a keygen for anything. Heh, here, just to prove that you're 0wnt and don't know wtf you're talking about, take this! Oh, wait, crap, finding a KeyGen took me a whole what, three seconds? Naw, I don't use Style XP because I know there are better products out there than that rip-off. You see, aside from only patching windows to do something any moron with a 'How-To' guide could do, they charge you for it. WindowBlinds, actually has it's own theming engine, and one that piz0wnz that of Microsoft's own theme engine (Which is what TGT-Soft uses in it's own POS). I actually hacked my WindowsXP install disc so that when it's installed Windows Blinds is already setup and running (along with other apps). Hey! Guess what! Window Blinds costs money too! And the free version doesn't last forever as well! But guess who I'd rather pay!?

Is it just me or do those icons look really old to everyone else?

That's because they are really old. Longhorn will, as far as users are concerned, be a new skin for Windows XP, a sidebar that kills 100 pixels worth of horizontal screen space, and huge titlebars and borders on windows.

I couldn't agree more, I was watching some demos of longhorn and what it will suposedly be able to do, if it can actually do these things (probobly not now with all the features they decided to strip out) then it might actually not be to bad, but I doubt it now.

sadly its all true its pretty pathetic really, microsoft announces a product in 2003 that they wont realease until 2006 just to get ppl interested and all hyped up about what microsoft declares"the biggest up date from win3.1 to win95 (16 bit to 32 bit OS)" i never heard of windows xp 3 years before it came out... why would they make this such a big thing? is it just because they kno that it is nothing, but just want to keep customers?

i hope this MS's last OS because they aren improving at all, i think everything really stated to slow down after Win 2000. Xp comes out and is pretty much the same as 2000 but with a few new features and new better GUI... i think MS is making all these "better security" features and other crap like that just to say they are doin something... but in the end it will be usless to man kinda and everybody will end up hating it i have a few more screen shots ill post em later tonight when i have time(my dad harping at me to get my stupid Compsci project done)

Well, he's running Windows XP, but Word (and Excel, and PowerPoint and an Outlook equivalent) are available for Mac OS X. Microsoft even brags that the Mac version is superior to the version for Windows.

from what I have heard and seen (while spending quality time in the apple store) it is superior.

Do they still make them for mac because they want to, or are they still bound by that agreement with apple that they could use technology like the GUI as long as they continued to produce software for the mac.

(I saw that in pirates of silicone valley I think, or doing some reaserch for a project)

Enlightenment! This actually isn't one of the best looking E deksopts, I've still gotta customize it and get more eye candy. It's big because it's actually two desktops. Sure, lots of DE/WMs have multiple desktops, but what's cool about this is that I can just push my mouse against the edge of the screen and it rolls over to the next one. Anyways, running Firefox, XChat2 (on #compsci.ca!), aMSN in the middle (to show you the desktop thing), Azureus on the right, and in the bottom corner is Torsmo (a small system monitor program). Xmms on the bottom and Gimp on the side to take the screenshot for me.

While not exactly screen shots, I've put all the backgrounds I've collected on my site for anyone interested. http://gallery.nxor.org/index.php?folder=desktop

I'd post a screenie of my current desktop, but other than the background it's kinda bland Sad

You really should look into installing another GTK theme. The controls in the GIMP and X-Chat in particular look awful.
